This is a very nice boot, very comfortable, but I wanted brown and it looked almost black. Other than that it is a great boot for causual or dress.

The boots are very low quality. You cant see it online, but the leather is highly plasticized..like a cheap couch or fake leather car seat. Very dissapointing.

I bought these boots, that appear to be very similar if not identical, to those sold by J. Crew. They are stiff at first, but after a few days they will soften up and become the most comfortable shoes you own. I would recommend these to everyone who needs a solid shoe for the winer. Cover them in the Red Wing boot oil every couple of years and you will have a pair of shoes that will outlast you. These boots are comfortable to wear and they look great! Mine are still in their break-in period. I ordered my normal size and like it much better with thick, comfy boot socks than a half-size down. These are tall so make sure you get some good dark colored socks that stay up when you wear them. Also, make sure you train them to crease so they don't dig in to your ankles. I have hardly taken these off and get lots of complements. I was a little disapointed at first with the distressed look but it has grown on me. My dog got a hold of one the very first day i had them and left a tooth mark in the toe, so I am glad I got the distressed look style.
