I've only had these boots for a short time, so this review is only semi-thorough. br /br /They shipped quickly and were packaged very well. I was pleased to see and feel the quality of these boots as I took them out of the box. These are my second pair of Chippewa boots. (I also have the Rally motorcycle boots.) One website I stumbled upon prior to ordering suggested these boots run a size small and a size narrow, so instead of ordering 10 or 10.5 D, which is what I usually wear, I ordered 11 W and they fit perfectly. br /br /The leather on these boots feels tough yet supple and comes well oiled. They boots are very comfortable. I was very pleased to see that the tread is very aggressive somewhat soft rubber; they should afford incredible traction this winter.br /br /These boots have an orange Drilex lining. (From the pictures I saw on the internet, I thought they were lined with leather but in fact there is just a narrow strip of leather that runs around the inside of the shaft at the very top.) They are supposed to be waterproof--I can't vouch for that, but I hope it's true.br /br /I gave these boots 4 rather than 5 stars because I'm concerned about how well the lining will hold up. The first thing my brother said when he saw them was, "Oh man, these don't even have a piece of leather down there where your heel will move up and down against the lining."br /br /Chippewa makes very high quality boots. These particular boots are heavy-duty, beautiful, warm, and comfortable! How well the lining holds up remains to be seen.
